LOGOS

LOGOS is a mid-week enrichment ministry that engages young people in the life of the church, providing opportunities to learn about God, develop a desire to know Jesus Christ and have fun while experiencing Christian fellowship, creating lasting relationships with others, and putting their faith into action every day.

LOGOS is modeled around the practices of the early church as described in Acts, where they taught, had fellowship, broke bread, and worshiped together. We combine these four parts to create a camp-like experience for kids at GPC each Wednesday, 4:00 to 7:00 PM, from September to April.

LOGOS consists of:

  • Recreation Time - Participate in games and active play that reinforce life skills and consideration of others.
  • Bible Study - Experience the stories of faith through engaging activities. Discover how God is still working in our lives today.
  • Worship Skills - Explore the elements of worship through a variety of activities including singing, musical instruments, drama and movement for fun and for presentation to others.
  • Family Time - A dinner where "family groups", composed of children and adults sit at the table. Adults serve as "table parents", guiding children in ways to have a respectful (and still fun!) family meal. Dinner is followed by a game or activity that goes along with that night's theme.

LOGOS is a Christian ministry serving hundreds of congregations in more than 20 denominations and is attended by children of many different backgrounds.
