Parents Handbook - Daily Classroom Schedule

We have two separate rooms with two separate schedules. These schedules may vary according to the interests of the children and strengths of staff members in each room.
3 month - 3 year old room
| 7:00 - 8:15 | All-age interaction, Puzzles or coloring, music, bubbles |
| 8:15 - 9:00 | Small group books, Play to learn area, Sensory activity |
| 9:00 - 9:30 | Clean Up, Song, and Circle Time |
| 9:30 - 10:00 | Snack, transition into small groups for specific age appropriate activities |
| 10:00 - 10:45 | Gross motor activity: tricycles, balls, etc.; outside if possible |
| 10:45 - 11:30 |
Play to learn area (small group format utilized from 10 to 11:30. Rooms/activities rotate during this time span) |
| 11:30 - 12:30 | Lunch Hour |
| 12:30 - 2:00 | Nap Time or Fine motor activities; reading, blocks, color, puzzles, play dough |
| 2:00 - 3:00 | Play to learn area; organized game; children awakening, songs |
| 3:00 - 3:30 | Snack time and clean up |
| 3:30 - 4:30 | Outdoors or gross motor activity |
| 4:30 - 5:00 | Play to learn area |
| 5:00 - 6:00 | Wrap-up: bubbles, all-age interaction, optional 1/2 hr. educational video, etc. |
Although we have designed diaper changing times in our daily schedule, all diapers will be checked hourly and changed throughout the day as needed.
3 - 6 year old room
| 7:00 - 8:00 | Infant/toddler room: All-age interaction; puzzles, drawing, small group books, optional 1/2 hr. educational video choice |
| 8:00- 9:00 | Children and leaders move to 3-6 yr. room: Play to Learn Centers |
| 9:00 - 9:30 | Story time with follow up activity |
| 9:30-10:00 | Snack and clean up |
| 10:00 - 10:45 | Music and Movement, possible outdoor activity |
| 10:45 - 11:30 | Play to Learn Centers |
| 11:30 - 12:30 | Lunch Hour, Clean Up, fine motor floor activity downstairs (book and magazine handling, puzzles, blocks, etc.) |
| 12:30 - 2:00 | Nap Time: Children not napping will have variable activities |
| 2:00 - 3:00 | Organized games, Play to learn centers, All children awake by 3:00 |
| 3:00 - 3:30 | Snack time and clean up |
| 3:30 - 5:00 | Outside activity or Music and Movement |
| 5:00 - 6:00 | Children move upstairs for wrap-up: bubbles, all-age interaction, music appreciation or optional 1/2 hr. educational video |
To learn your child's daily activities, please review the dry erase board in their classroom. For children under 3, please take the written form provided to track individual actions throughout the day.
